Privacy Policy

Samra Labs ("we", "us") builds WordPress plugins. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are. It covers this website and the software we distribute.

Who we are

Samra Labs is an independent plugin studio operated by Muhammad Waqas. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@samralabs.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect on this website

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and processes data such as your IP address, browser and pages viewed. Google acts as our processor; data may be transferred outside your country. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Email signups

If you ask to be notified when a plugin ships, we store your email address and which page you signed up from. We use it only to send that one announcement. Reply to any message and we delete you from the list.

Server logs

Our host records standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a short period and are not used to identify individuals.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent personal data, we don't run advertising trackers, and we don't share your email with third parties.

Our plugins

Our plugins run on your WordPress site. We do not receive, see, or store any data from them — there is no phone-home, no usage tracking, and no analytics inside our plugins.

WaveChat

Adds a click-to-chat button. It sets no cookies and makes no external requests. Only anonymous click totals are stored in your own database. When a visitor taps the button, they are taken to WhatsApp, at which point WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies.

WooWave

Sends order notifications through the official WhatsApp Cloud API using your Meta credentials and your WhatsApp Business number. Customer phone numbers and messages pass between your site and Meta directly. Samra Labs is not a party to those messages and never receives them. As the store owner, you are the data controller for your customers' data, and Meta is your processor.

License activation

When you activate a paid plugin, your site sends us the purchase code and your domain name so we can verify the purchase with Envato and enforce the licence limit. We store the purchase code, domain, and Envato buyer username. No customer data is ever sent.

Support requests

If you email us for support, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and follow up. We delete it when it's no longer needed.

Legal basis and retention

We process email signups on the basis of your consent, licence data on the basis of performing our contract with you, and analytics and server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and securing the site. We keep data only as long as it serves that purpose: signup emails until the announcement is sent or you unsubscribe, licence records for the life of the licence, and analytics according to Google's retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to object to processing. Email hello@samralabs.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also disable cookies in your browser, or install a browser extension that blocks analytics.

Third parties we rely on

Google Analytics (website statistics), Envato (purchase verification for paid plugins), and our web host (site delivery and backups). Meta is not our processor — when you use WooWave, your relationship with Meta is your own.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.

Questions? Email hello@samralabs.com and we'll answer.
